I would like you to explore several education blogs and find at least two you WILL keep reading. As an educator it is extremely important to keep up, read and know what the newest trends are. So, I have a long list off both my porportal and my delicious in the category called blogs. Please have a look. Find two that really spark your interest. Explore them completely. Then write a reflection about the two you selected and what your learned and why you will keep reading them. Make you they are bookmarked in in your social bookmarking site. http://guest.portaportal.com/cyndidannerkuhn http://del.icio.us/cyndidannerkuhn
I really like all of these blogs, I do find it hard to find time to log into them on a regular basis, however when I do I always find some fantastic and interesting things to read. I found the first two on your site, but the third one I found... its possible its on your list and I missed it you have a lot to pick from! There are lots of tech oriented links that are fun to look through. Cool Cat has a nice post on the Wii Mote Whiteboards that I am going to have to try and make. That is right up my ally!
2 cents really has a lot of thought provoking topics. reading blogs is all pretty new to me, but I am really glad to have been introduced!

I found this site very interesting because it not only gave different blog conversations from other teachers, but also along the side it list other educational blogs, which I love the easy access to these other sites. This site is like a facebook or myspace for teachers because the teachers can basically share their feelings at the time as well as discuss happenings that occurred during the week. I really liked that the teachers were open and themselves in each posting. It makes me feel more reassured considering the fact I feel that once I become a teacher I'll have to change my overall personal perspective; of course I'll have to make adjustments here and there, but I'm able to be myself and feel comfortable around others who are like me in many ways. Some of the discussions were humorous, which further shows that teachers are as stuffy as TV and movies, at times, make them out to be.

This very simplistic site is very handy. Anything that you are looking for can be found here. I know I'll definitely use this as a source in the future because I will be wanting different book selection ideas and if I need to find a particular book I can easily search this site. When I first logged on to the site the home page sort of discouraged me because it didn't have much of anything on it. But once you start searching, it's a whole different story. I was really impressed with some of the different sources that came up when searching, and I can see why Dr. Danner-Kuhn refers to this site. This would be the perfect site for any English instructor!
